The lady and I were in New York this weekend, visiting Ingrid, one of Nduku’s friends. We were fortunate to stay at Ingrid’s Bed & Breakfast in Brooklyn — a pleasant surprise since I thought we were sleeping on the sofa — staying in the “Purple Room.”

For the 4th of July, we headed out to North Beach, just north of Chesapeake Beach in Maryland. It was a quick trip, a little time away to give Najwa a moment to play around in the sand, get some sun and take a breather in the middle of the summer.
