Spending Christmas in Fayetteville with Halmeoni and Uncle Charlson

I hadn’t seen my brother in years. From his military service that took him to Korea, Italy and the war to my bouncing around from Greensboro to Atlanta to Washington, DC, time simply flew by. Many years. Many, many years. So, we decided to meet up at our mom’s house for Christmas. And we brought the little one.

Najwa making friends while we wait for uncle Charlson to arrive at Fayetteville Regional Airport.
One day she’ll be tall enough to play arcade games.

I’m not sure if Najwa will really appreciate the time she spends with her uncle and halmeoni [Korean for grandma]. We don’t see each other often enough, so it makes these moments that much more special.

There’s not much to do in Fayetteville. Fortunately, they did build Fascinate-U Children’s Museum.

Afterwards went out for a bite and got caught up. I’m not much of a holiday’s person but it was good seeing the family. Together.
